Better Births

NHS, local councils and partner organisations are working together across Lancashire and South Cumbria to make sure all women, their babies and their families experience safe, kind, compassionate and personalised care, and to make sure they can access support that is centred on their needs and circumstances.

The partners involved with Better Births Lancashire and South Cumbria want to develop innovative new services to make sure you are well supported and informed at every stage of your pregnancy, enabling you to make decisions about your care which are best suited to you and your family.

Part of our engagement with women and families is through the local Maternity Voices Partnerships. A Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a team of women and their families, commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors) working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care.
