Have you had a video consultation with your GP?

Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria is currently seeking patients from across the counties to take part in research and tell them their thoughts about video consultations. If you’ve had a video consultation arranged by your GP practice, perhaps instead of a face to face appointment during COVID-19, and you’d like to get involved, please This email address is being protected from spambots. The research is being undertaken by students at Lancaster University, and participants will take part in a one-to-one, online interview which will last up to 45 minutes.

Your experiences are important and will help  ensure that this technology is continued to be used in the right way, at the right time, going forward. A number of GP practices had already started to offer video calls before the outbreak and the technology has since been rapidly rolled out. Most are now doing video consultations with patients and have the technology to offer them in the future. You can find out more about video consultations and the work happening across Lancashire and South Cumbria on digital health here.
