Blackburn Birth Centre to re-open on Monday 18th May

Blackburn Birth Centre will re-open for women to attend in labour and give birth from Monday 18/05/2020 at 8 am.

The birth centre is run by midwives who will be able to provide one to one support to help women give birth naturally in one of the four birth rooms.

It is recommended by NICE that women with low risk pregnancies have their baby at a midwifery led birth centre.  If you are considering having your baby at Blackburn Birth Centre then please discuss this with your team midwife or call Blackburn Birth Centre.

We will be following the national visiting policy in relation to having only one birth partner with you in labour and no other visitors to minimise the risk to both families and staff.  Please ensure you telephone the birth centre in the 1st instance to ensure the Midwives are aware of your arrival in order to ensure the centre has capacity to support your care.
