Phone up, don't turn up !

In light of the Prime Minister’s announcement last night, we would like to reiterate the on-going procedure for accessing primary care and hospital services. Nothing has changed in terms of the advice for local people accessing health services – Phone up, don’t turn up

Please continue to contact your GP during usual opening hours or alternatively you can access 111 online or call 111 for help. Primary care is continuing to triage all appointment requests over the telephone and will let you know if they need to see you.

If you are referred to hospital for further investigation, please ensure you keep your appointment.

If your child is scheduled for their essential vaccination, parents please make sure you attend and don’t miss the appointment.

If you are worried about a potential or actual cancer diagnosis, your GP is there for you. Please call and speak to them about your diagnosis and treatment.

If you have any health concern you have been putting off, please don’t leave it. Please contact your local GP with your concerns.

In emergency situations only, please dial 999 and request an ambulance.

We want to make sure that we keep everyone as safe as possible by ensuring we get people to the right place for their care needs.”
