Following a pledge by NHS East Lancashire CCG to support the successful national campaign #hello my name is…, and offer support to Dr Kate Granger, the terminally ill founder of the campaign who visited the CCG in June this year, retailer Boots has agreed to adopt the positive campaign too.
The new treatment room resource is opening in Barnoldswick on Tuesday 18 August. The treatment room is based within the Rainhall Centre in the centre of Barnoldswick and operated by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Elysium Centre in Great Harwood has introduced a free three-hour respite session every Friday from 1pm to 4pm for those aged over 18.
The centre provides transport, entertainment, refreshments, themed events, sing-a-longs and general fun. Volunteers are also wanted to help out with the respite sessions as well as other sessions provided.
