Important information relating to Junior Doctor Strike — Accrington Minor Injuries Unit temporary closure

Attendances at our Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn Hospital and Urgent Care Centre at Burnley General Hospital remain very high. Next week, on 26th and 27th April, junior doctors are taking industrial action which will include withdrawal of emergency care between 8.00am and 5.00pm on both days. This is the first time any hospital will have had to respond to a scenario of this type.
