CCG seeks people’s views on East Lancashire Lower Limb Vascular service

NHS East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is seeking the views of people who use, or have used the East Lancashire Lower Limb Vascular service.

This is to ensure that the CCG commissions (buys) the right services for those who need it. It will also help patients get the most out of the service and help the service to see where improvements can be made.

The East Lancashire Lower Limb Vascular service is a nurse led service which helps with the diagnosis and management of both venous (veins) and arterial (artery) problems in the lower legs. Patients may or may not have a leg ulceration.

East Lancashire CCG is responsible for commissioning (buying) health care services on behalf of local people and it is reviewing the service as part of its ongoing work to ensure that it is meeting the needs of patients who use it. The CCG commissions East Lancashire Hospitals Trust (ELHT) to provide a lower limb vascular service for East Lancashire patients over the age of 18.

Dr Santhosh Davis, local GP and Integrated Care Lead at the CCG said:

“Our overarching aim is to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and the quality of care for our population. We have a unique opportunity, in undertaking these service reviews to do so in partnership with patients and the public. By listening to people’s views about the lower limb vascular service we can use this information to develop and improve services which really do meet the needs of patients.

“We are asking people, about their experiences and views of the lower limb vascular service in a stakeholder engagement campaign called ‘Your Services, Your Say’."

People who have used this service (as a patient or carer) or who have any experience of the service e.g. as a health care professional, are encouraged to submit their views on the following three questions:

  1. What do you like about the service?
  2. What, if anything could we do better?
  3. Is there anything else you would like to tell us about the service?

Feedback can be submitted via any of the following methods
