Involving voluntary, community and faith organisations in conversations about primary care for the future and understanding the Lancashire and South Cumbria STP

Healthwatch Lancashire and Healthwatch Blackpool are bringing together the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership, known locally as Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria, and voluntary, community and faith organisations to an event to raise the understanding of changes in health and care across Lancashire and South Cumbria and to be part of a conversation about setting the agenda for primary care services for the future.

The event will focus on primary care, including medical, dental, pharmacy and eye care services, and the partnership work underway to improve patient care and access and investment in new ways of providing care.

It will also give staff and volunteers who work for voluntary, community and faith organisations (also known as third sector organisations) within Lancashire and South Cumbria, an opportunity to find out more about the work of the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership.

The event, hosted by Healthwatch Blackpool and Healthwatch Lancashire, will see leaders and clinicians from Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria in attendance to support conversations and answer questions about the future of services, giving members of third sector organisations an opportunity to have their say.

It is not only a great opportunity to find what changes are taking place, but also to ensure that local third sector organisation’s views, on behalf of the communities they serve, are heard when it comes to changing how care is delivered locally.

Information on the event can be found below:

Where: The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool

When: 15th March 2018, 1pm-4pm

You can book your place at the Blackpool event here: https://primarycarefortomorrow.eventbrite.com

NHS and local authorities are working across five areas to improve services, these are Morecambe Bay, Pennine Lancashire, West Lancashire, Central Lancashire and the Fylde Coast. They provide a way in which all organisations and groups involved in health and care can work together to improve outcomes and care for local people, reduce pressures on services and make best use of financial resources.
