Colne Family Practice rated as good in latest CQC inspection report
The report states that the safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership provided by the practice, were all rated good. The practice was found to be well equipped to treat and meet patient needs and the practice was found to seek and act upon patient and staff feedback. Staff commented that they felt well supported by their management and that they had received training relevant to their roles.
The practice received an area of outstanding in their weekly diabetes group with a specialist diabetes nurse and GP. They also hold evening education sessions on diabetes.
Dr Arun Jha said: “I’m really pleased with the report, the staff at the practice work extremely hard to ensure that our patients receive a good standard of care and it’s great to hear that our patients are happy with the service we provide too.”
The inspection was carried out on 1st December 2015, by the CQC to check that the practice was meeting the legal requirements within the Health & Social Care Act 2008. The practice which is located in the Colne Health Centre has 2,774 registered patients, with a higher than the national average number of their patients, aged 60 or over.
