Publication of Provider Sanctions

National Sanctions Publication 2015-16

As commissioners we must publish on our website details of the financial sanctions due and applied to each of our major providers for failure to achieve national standards set out in their contracts.

We have a duty to report individually on sanctions for all of our contracts. Where a sanction is applied only annually, the position will only be reported annually. We have also indicated how these sanctions have been used for the benefit of patients.”

National Sanctions Publication 2016-19

Providers who have agreed Control Totals with NHS Improvement, and have been granted funding from the Sustainability & Transformation Fund following agreement with both lead Commissioners and NHS England with agreed performance improvement trajectories, have a temporary suspension of Contract Sanctions for 2016/17. This arrangement has now been extended to cover the financial years 2017/18 and 2018/19 following publication of the Operational Planning and Contract Guidance.

As such there have been no sanctions applied in respect of Providers for which the CCG is the lead Commissioner at an aggregate level.
