The Advocacy Access website is now live to search for advocacy services in Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen. Funded by Lancashire County Council and Blackburn with Darwen Council, the 'Advocacy Access' helpline is a single point of access, staffed by specialist workers that can help direct you to the right service to be heard with any NHS or social care related issue or complaint.
This service is now available online. Simply go to our 'find help page' on our website: www.advocacyaccess.org.uk type in details of your issue and your location. This will direct you to organisations that could provide you with advocacy support. The single point of access will help you to:
- Save time, by putting you in touch with the right service
- Understand the type of support available and whether it can help you with the issues you want to address
- Understand whether you have a right to advocacy by law if you lack capacity or have a mental health condition
- Get involved in advocacy through voluntary work or training.
